Built by Brantas Abipraya, 190 Permanent Residential Units for Phase III Cianjur Earthquake Victims Begin to be Occupied
Jakarta, 18th February 2024 - A total of 190 units of permanent residential housing (Huntap) phase III for earthquake survivors in Babakankaret Village, Cianjur District have been completed by PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) and will soon be occupied. This State-Owned Construction Enterprise (BUMN) continues to strive so that people affected by the natural earthquake disaster in Cianjur Regency can immediately live in decent housing. The construction of Huntap is one of the efforts to relocate the community so they can move to a safer area.
"The development of Huntap is a concrete manifestation that the state is truly present to help the community in providing adequate housing after natural disasters. We also use the RUSPIN (Instant Panel System Superior House) earthquake-resistant house building technology to anticipate if a natural disaster occurs at any time," said Purnomo, Director of Operations II Brantas Abipraya.
Huntap phase III was built on an area of 2.7 hectares. Built with a 36 square meter building type, all shelters are equipped with adequate infrastructure, facilities and utilities (PSU) to provide comfort and convenience for the beneficiary communities. All residence halls that are built have a house interior consisting of a family room, two bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchen.
Purnomo added that not only was he entrusted with the construction of Huntap Phase III, Brantas Abipraya had also completed the construction of Huntap Phase I and Phase II. The Huntap Phase I is located in Cilaku District with 200 units, built on an area of 2.4 hectares and Phase II with a total of 151 units in Mande District is built on an area of 1.9 hectares.
Through the construction of this shelter, Brantas Abipraya is showing its seriousness in always being present to develop the country, one of which is by rebuilding infrastructure in Cianjur, West Java after being hit by the earthquake that occurred on November 21 2022.
"Brantas Abipraya always prioritizes quality excellence and building quality in all infrastructure that is being built. "Hopefully this residence can provide a comfortable and decent life for the people who were victims of the earthquake disaster in Cianjur," said Purnomo.
