12 August 2022Jakarta, August 12, 2022 - In order to welcome the 77th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia and the National Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Day which falls today, PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) as a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) which engaged in the construction sector, collaborating with other construction SOEs held the Festival of Micro and Small Business (UMK) to encourage and develop MSEs which are partners of BUMN Karya. The event, which was held for 3 days from August 10 to August 12, was also held at The Hive parking lot, Cawang, East Jakarta.
“This is a follow-up to BUMN Construction on the Circular Letter of the Ministry of BUMN No. SE-10/MBU/08/2020 Regarding Increasing the Role of MSEs in the Procurement of Goods and Services in SOEs. We hope that with this activity Brantas Abipraya and other SOEs can participate in promoting MSEs so that they can be known by the public," said Miftakhul Anas as Corporate Secretary of Brantas Abipraya.
Anas added, this activity is also expected to support the Government's program to develop MSEs and the creative world, with the ultimate goal of improving people's welfare, encouraging accelerated economic growth and attracting investors. At this event, approximately 65 superior products from MSEs which are fostered partners of BUMN Karya were displayed. The products offered range from fashion, food, accessories and clothing. This collaboration is a manifestation of Brantas Abipraya and other SOEs for the empowerment of MSEs. The existence of MSEs is very important as a pillar of the national economy and to revive the MSEs' economic sector which had been extinguished due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, so this collaboration is very much needed. Not only selling superior UMK products, adding to the excitement of the event which was held for three days was filled with various series of activities that were expected to attract the attention of the public, especially the target market in large numbers, including a recycling themed carnival, fashion shows, bazaars and sharing sessions from MSEs and acoustic music performances.
Meanwhile, Assistant Deputy of the Ministry of SOEs for TJSL, Edi Eko, expressed his appreciation for this slick collaboration, namely the BUMN Karya UMK Festival which is in line with the SOE TJSL focus, namely UMK Development.
"Hopefully this event, which is a promotional forum and meeting of MSEs fostered by BUMN Karya, especially Brantas Abipraya, can be held every year. As additional information, Brantas Abipraya fostered partners have also been registered in Padi UMKM, which is a marketplace to bring together goods and services from SMEs with procurement needs in the Brantas Abipraya environment," concluded Anas.
