Jakarta, October 3, 2022 – As a state-owned construction company that is always present for the country with its infrastructure works, PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) always proves its commitment to continue to carry out the Social and Environmental Responsibility program or known as TJSL. Included in the Pillar of Environmental Development, State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) This work sows fish seeds in Lake Archipelago Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) which is a project by Brantas Abipraya, supporting the G20 Presidency international event.

“This activity is one of Brantas Abipraya's efforts in maintaining ecosystems for environmental conservation, especially Lake Archipelago TMII. Today we have sown approximately 100,000 fish seeds, said Miftakul Anas, Corporate Secretary of Brantas Abipraya when delivering his remarks.

Anas added that the types of fish sown into this lake are Mujaher Fish, Carp and Tilapia. Not only as an effort to maintain the ecosystem, later it is hoped that the filling of fish in this lake can also add to the visitor's experience when relaxing, having recreation and spending time at the Archipelago Lake promenade, TMII. Anas also appealed that it is hoped that in the future the community, especially tourists, both local and foreign, must play an active role in maintaining the TMII environment, especially Archipelago Lake, to keep it clean, not to pollute the lake water with garbage.

Determined to always be there to provide the best for Indonesia through our infrastructure works, of course through this program Brantas Abipraya wants to prove his contribution to the development of supporting aspects, namely the environment. Anas also expressed his deepest gratitude to TMII as the host who also contributed to the success of this activity.

"Hopefully this collaboration will strengthen good relations between SOEs and TMII as well. And for the support and cooperation that has been established, it can contribute to efforts to preserve the environment, as well as freshwater fish ecosystems, "said Anas.

As additional information, the seriousness of this BUMN in implementing the CSR program, especially on the environmental development pillar, namely Abipraya Cares for the Environment, is also seen from several of its activities. One of the things that this red-plated construction company is doing is reforesting the dam area that is being worked on, such as reforestation at the Padang Guci 1 and 2 PLTM projects in Bengkulu as well as the greenbelt of the Tukul Pacitan Reservoir and Ciawi Dam, namely reforestation of the upstream Ciliwung and Cisadane rivers.

Abipraya Cares for the Environment also has a program of planting 12,500 sengon trees in Babakan Madang village, Sentul, Bogor, West Java. Abipraya also planted 800 fruit trees consisting of durian, mango and pine in the PLTM Padang Guci 1 and 2 PLTM Project areas.

"The community is an important part for the progress of Brantas Abipraya, this is proof of our commitment as a construction BUMN, we are not only focused on building Indonesia through infrastructure works but also by contributing to the welfare, helping others through CSR programs. The progress of Brantas Abipraya is also of course with the support of the surrounding community, for that we invest in the community and the environment in the form of a CSR program," concluded Anas.
