Abipraya's Gait, Transformation Completes National Strategic Protection

Jakarta, October 6, 2022 - PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) is continuously transforming and making real efforts to improve capabilities, competencies and innovations to provide the best in developing the country. Collaborating, constantly developing talent, namely Insan Abipraya to digital transformation to support the smooth completion of national strategic projects (PSN) that are being carried out by this construction BUMN. The seriousness of Brantas Abipraya to continue to transform is felt to be very necessary, especially when facing this VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity) era.

"Until now Brantas Abipraya continues to transform to be more effective and efficient so that we can make a full contribution to the country. For example, during the COVID-19 pandemic, it required us to transform digital services," said Miftakhul Anas as Corporate Secretary of Brantas Abipraya.

Anas added, for the past three years Brantas Abipraya has continued to work forward in the face of a pandemic. As one of the state-owned enterprises engaged in the construction industry, of course, work safety is a matter that needs to be prioritized. Proving its commitment, Brantas Abipraya has pushed for labor protection in the digitalization era. Anas said the COVID-19 pandemic was a momentum for Brantas Abipraya to understand the importance of K3L in the workplace.

He claimed that the State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) had implemented Behavior Based Safety (BBS) both in the office and project environments during the pandemic. The purpose of BBS is to prepare and train companies to have disaster resilience. By creating the Ayo Sehat application that can be embedded in every smartphone of Abipraya Insan in 2020, so that Abipraya Insan can be monitored for their health and can receive the latest information related to COVID-19. This also keeps the productivity of Brantas Abipraya in working on projects under control and smoothly because it has created health and comfort in the work environment, especially in projects.

In addition, Brantas Abipraya has also implemented Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Finance & Controlling (FICO), which is an integrated system used by companies to integrate all company resources. The use of the ERP system aims to facilitate the planning and management of company resources.

"The FICO ERP system also has a very high value of benefits in integrating business processes in the company, including increasing the accuracy of real-time business processes and the ease of monitoring with a centralized system, so that management can minimize financial risk," explained Anas.

Strengthening its position as a champion BUMN in the development of water infrastructure, especially dams, Brantas Abipraya often develops its human resources (HR). Starting from optimizing talent management to establishing the first dam school in Indonesia. Human resource development, especially young talents in Abipraya is a priority, by optimizing talent management, Abipraya focuses on accelerating quality so that they can play an active role in collaboration, to support the country's infrastructure development.

One of them is by establishing the first dam school in Indonesia. The School of Dam and Water Resources was inaugurated simultaneously with the launch of the Competency Development Institute (LPK) and the Professional Certification Institute (LPS) Brantas Abipraya (17/3). The competence and expertise of the workforce or human capital must continue to be improved, and with the existence of this school, Brantas Abipraya is required to adapt and respond to the challenges of changing technology and developing science.

Some of these transformations as ammunition for Brantas Abipraya certainly have a positive impact on their role in building the PSN. As additional information, currently Brantas Abipraya is completing PSN projects including the Ciawi Dam which is the first dry dam in Indonesia, the longest dam in Southeast Asia, namely the Semantok Dam, the highest dam in Indonesia, namely the Bener Dam and several other PSN projects that are currently being worked on.
