Abipraya's Synergy with BUMN, Running the Tana Lino Lestari II Collaboration Program on Komodo Island, East Nusa Tenggara

Jakarta, 17 November 2023 - As a form of BUMN's commitment to caring for the education and economic sectors in Indonesia, PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) together with 22 other BUMNs collaborated to implement the Tana Lino Lestari II Program at the Komodo Island Public Elementary School, East Nusa Tenggara. The inauguration of the Tana Lino Lestari II program was held on Saturday, November 4 2023, which was attended directly by the Deputy for Human Resources, Technology and Information at the Ministry of BUMN, Mr. Tedi Bharata, the BUMN Directors in charge of Social and Environmental Responsibility, the Head of the Education, Youth Service and Sports of West Manggarai Regency, local Village Heads, School Principals, Komodo Island State Elementary School teachers and the local community.

“Thank God, this program was inaugurated at the beginning of last November. "The Tana Lino Lestari program is an ongoing program, where previously in 2021 the first phase of the program was implemented, the inauguration of which was attended directly by the Minister of BUMN, Mr. Erick Thohir," added Tumpang Muhammad, Director of HR and General Affairs at Brantas Abipraya.

He added that Brantas Abipraya, as one of the superior construction BUMNs in building this dam, will always be committed to helping the community through various programs through Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) as a form of BUMN support for the Sustainable Development Goals in Indonesia.

This assistance program is part of a sustainable program from BUMN with the aim of advancing the nation, through creating great generations in the future who may come from sons and daughters from remote areas with limited educational facilities, but who have strong determination and enthusiasm.

The Tana Lino Lestari II Program is implemented as an implementation of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, namely Quality Education and Decent Work & Economic Growth. In this second stage, the Tana Lino Lestari program focuses on revitalizing educational facilities at Komodo Island State Elementary School, revitalizing the internet network on Komodo Island, building a thematic park at Komodo Island State Elementary School, building a teacher's room and residence for Komodo Island State Elementary School teachers, and empowering fishing communities. . Apart from that, the BUMN collaboration also provided additional school equipment assistance in the form of school uniforms, school bags, shoes, fans and sound systems and provided assistance in renovating the Komodo Center PAUD school facilities.

"Hopefully this collaboration can help grow the regional economy on Komodo Island, can create good human resources, regional economic growth, and together collaborate to increase tourism in the area," concluded Tumpang.
